Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced a major reshuffle of its national organisation under party president Nitin Nabin, assigning key responsibilities to several senior leaders. The appointments take effect immediately.

Former Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal has been appointed as a National Vice-President. He is among 13 leaders named to the post, with former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jay Panda and D Purandeshwari also featuring in the list.

Former Union minister Smriti Irani has been appointed as a National General Secretary, returning to a prominent organisational role in the party. The other general secretaries include Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia.

The party has retained B.L. Santhosh as National General Secretary (Organisation), while Shivprakash and Saudan Singh have been appointed National Joint General Secretaries (Organisation).

Piyush Goyal has been appointed the BJP's National Treasurer, while Rajesh Mangal has been named National Co-Treasurer. Tarun Chugh has been retained as National Office In-Charge, with Mahendra Pandey appointed National Office Secretary.

New organisational team also includes Sambit Patra as Northeast Coordinator and Rajeev Babbar as Co-Coordinator. Vishnu Dutt Sharma has been appointed Coordinator of the party's Cell Cluster, with Rituraj Sinha and Vishnu Vardhan Reddy as Co-Coordinators.

The reshuffle brings together experienced leaders and new organisational appointments, with the BJP seeking to strengthen its national structure and prepare the organisation for upcoming political challenges and Assembly elections.
