A young man was found dead inside the bathroom of the Emergency Ward at Civil Hospital in Sector 6, Panchkula, on Wednesday morning, triggering panic within the hospital premises.
The deceased has been identified as Rahman, a resident of Yamunanagar.
According to hospital officials, sanitation workers arrived to clean the emergency ward bathroom in the morning when they noticed the man lying motionless over the toilet seat. They immediately informed the hospital staff, who rushed to the spot and brought him out for examination. Doctors later declared him dead.
After receiving information about the incident, officials from the Sector-6 Police Post reached the hospital and began investigating the case. Police inspected the scene and initiated further proceedings.
The exact cause of death remains unknown at this stage. Authorities said that the reason behind the death will be confirmed only after the postmortem report is received. The investigation is ongoing.
