Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed 12 years as the head of the Central Government on Wednesday, marking a significant political milestone. On the occasion, leaders from across India and around the world congratulated the Prime Minister for his long tenure and continued leadership.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he completed 12 years in office and became India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister. In a post on X, Meloni tagged PM Modi and praised his historic achievement, calling it a landmark moment in India's political history.
Recalling their recent bilateral meeting in Rome, Meloni expressed satisfaction over the growing ties between India and Italy. She highlighted the launch of a special strategic partnership between the two nations, saying it is designed with a future-oriented vision and will create new opportunities for progress and cooperation that will benefit the citizens of both countries.
Several other global leaders also extended their greetings to PM Modi, describing the milestone as a reflection of public trust and his long political journey.
Responding to the occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that public service remains the true hallmark of good governance. He added that only those who work with dedication, commitment, and a strong sense of duty towards the people are able to earn and retain their trust.
