AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu on Friday said the overwhelming response to the Bhagwant Mann Government's welfare schemes reflects people's trust in the government's commitment to fulfilling its promises.
He said 72.56 lakh women have registered under the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, with the next installment scheduled to be credited on August 1. Ludhiana, Patiala and Amritsar recorded the highest number of registrations.
Pannu also highlighted the success of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, saying over 50 lakh people have received cashless treatment, while the state has spent ₹917 crore under the scheme. More than 50 lakh Sehat Cards have been issued, with Ludhiana, Patiala and Jalandhar leading in registrations. The scheme offers cashless healthcare of up to ₹10 lakh at government and empanelled private hospitals.
Targeting the opposition, Pannu accused the Congress and BJP of making promises they failed to deliver, while claiming the Mann Government has fulfilled its commitments. He also dismissed social media rumours that the Punjab and Haryana High Court had stayed the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, clarifying that no such stay exists and the scheme will continue as planned.
