Central Government is set to release the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme on June 20, 2026, from West Bengal, providing financial assistance to millions of eligible farmers across the country. Under the flagship scheme, farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, transferred directly into their bank accounts in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
Alongside PM-KISAN, the government is also promoting the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana, a social security scheme launched in 2019 to ensure financial stability for small and marginal farmers after retirement. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive a monthly pension of ₹3,000 after attaining the age of 60.
Farmers aged 18 to 40 years can enroll in the pension scheme by making monthly contributions ranging from ₹55 to ₹200, depending on their age at the time of registration. The contribution amount increases with age, while the government provides an equal matching contribution.
Authorities have advised PM-KISAN beneficiaries to complete essential formalities such as e-KYC, land verification, and Aadhaar-bank account linking to avoid delays in receiving the upcoming installment. The government has already released 22 installments under the PM-KISAN scheme, benefiting crores of farmers nationwide.
