Rajasthan Police, in a joint operation with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), have detained three suspects in connection with the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai. The suspects were apprehended at Kota railway station while travelling on the Pune-Jaipur Express (Train No. 12939), according to police sources.
Preliminary information suggests that two of the three suspects may have been involved in the firing outside the actor’s car in Mumbai on Sunday evening. Police are questioning all three to establish their roles in the case.
According to reports, the suspects were travelling in the general coach of the train when they were detained. Two of them are reportedly from Haryana, while the third is from Maharashtra. The suspects are also suspected of having links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, although their alleged affiliations and individual roles are being investigated.
The suspects have been identified in preliminary reports as Rehan and a minor, both reportedly residents of Sonipat in Haryana, and Hrithik Kumar, also known as Roshan, who is said to be from Mumbai. Reports indicate that Kumar works as a Rapido driver.
Investigators suspect that the three had been staying in Mumbai for around 20 days before the incident and boarded a train heading towards Rajasthan following the attack. Police are examining the circumstances surrounding their movement and alleged involvement in the shooting.
Tiger Shroff Escapes Unhurt
The firing took place on Sunday evening near Pushpa Park in Mumbai’s Juhu area, within the jurisdiction of Juhu police station. Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped injury when shots were allegedly fired at his car.
The incident left the actor’s driver and an auto-rickshaw driver injured. Police launched an extensive investigation and formed 15 teams to trace those responsible for the attack.
A social media post claiming responsibility for the firing has also gone viral, purportedly in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, police have not yet confirmed the authenticity of the post.
The detention of the three suspects marks a significant development in the investigation. Police are continuing their interrogation to determine their precise roles in the shooting and establish whether the incident was linked to any organised criminal network.
