Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the second day of his two-day visit to Varanasi, visited the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Wednesday to offer prayers.
The Prime Minister held a grand roadshow from Bareka to the temple, where he was warmly welcomed by BJP leaders and party workers. The route witnessed flower showers at six different locations, while the city echoed with the sounds of drums, conch shells, and chants, creating a festive atmosphere.
During his visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Dham complex, PM Modi interacted with children present at the site. The children were seen smiling as the Prime Minister engaged them in a brief conversation. Devotees gathered in the temple premises expressed joy and excitement upon catching a glimpse of the Prime Minister.
A group of five priests, led by Pandit Om Prakash Mishra, conducted the traditional Shodashopachar ritual for the Prime Minister. Later, PM Modi greeted devotees by showcasing a trishul and damru, marking his second such gesture at the temple.
