The protest against the entry toll tax in Himachal Pradesh has intensified, taking an aggressive turn. Demonstrators have blocked the Kiratpur Sahib–Manali National Highway and staged a sit-in, leading to massive traffic congestion. Long queues of vehicles have formed on both sides, bringing traffic to a complete standstill.
The blockade at the T-point on the Danny route has disrupted connectivity from all directions in the region, severely affecting commuters and transport services.
The protest gained further momentum when Dr. Janak Raj, a legislator from the Bharmour Pangi Assembly Constituency representing the Bharatiya Janata Party, reached the spot and extended support by joining the protesters. His presence has added political backing to the agitation, likely increasing pressure on the administration.
