Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun laying the groundwork for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, with a series of visits by its newly appointed national office-bearers set to begin in the coming weeks.

As part of this strategy, BJP National President Nitin Nabin is scheduled to visit Punjab from June 20 to June 22 for a three-day tour. The visit will be his first to the state after assuming the party's top organizational role and is being viewed as significant in the run-up to the next Assembly elections.

According to party sources, Nabin is expected to begin his Punjab tour from Amritsar, where he will first pay obeisance at Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) to seek blessings. The visit is currently in the planning stage, with the final itinerary yet to be officially confirmed.

Sources further said that after offering prayers at the Golden Temple, Nabin may also visit Durgiana Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, where he is likely to pay tribute to the martyrs.

Following the visits to these religious and historical sites, he is expected to hold meetings with local BJP leaders and party workers to assess the political ground situation and strengthen the party's organizational network ahead of the 2027 elections.
