Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday made a sudden visit to Gurugram and met former minister Sanjeev Arora at Bhondsi Jail.
Both leaders reportedly travelled directly from Delhi to the jail in Gurugram, where they were granted permission by the jail administration to meet Arora. The meeting lasted for around 20 minutes and was held in a separate room inside the jail premises.
Former minister Sanjeev Arora was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on May 9 in connection with a money laundering case linked to an alleged fake GST scam worth over ₹100 crore.
Following his arrest, the agency had initially secured a seven-day remand, which was later extended by two more days for further questioning. After completion of the interrogation, the court sent Arora to 14 days of judicial custody.
