Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has strongly criticized the BJP-led Central Government over the recent ₹29 increase in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.

Cheema said that the continuous rise in the prices of fuel and essential commodities is making life increasingly difficult for common people. He stated that poor and middle-class families are already struggling under the burden of inflation, and the latest hike in cooking gas prices has further aggravated their financial hardships.

Demanding an immediate rollback of the LPG price increase, the Punjab minister urged the Centre to focus on controlling inflation rather than raising the prices of essential household items. He emphasized that the government should take concrete measures to provide relief to citizens facing rising living costs.
