Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab Government on Wednesday announced a fresh round of appointments to various state boards, commissions, improvement trusts and market committees. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared the appointment orders through his official X handle and congratulated all the newly appointed office-bearers.

Expressing confidence in the appointees, Mann said he expects them to discharge their responsibilities with honesty, dedication and commitment while working for the welfare of the people.

According to the official orders, Kamikkar Singh has been appointed as a Member of the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission, while Sukhjit Singh Dhillwan has been named Vice Chairman of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA). Sarbjit Singh Dhanjal has been appointed Chairman of the Amritsar Improvement Trust, and Sanjeev Chaudhary (Chechi) has been appointed Chairman of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar District Planning Board.

The government also announced the appointment of chairpersons for 17 Market Committees across the state. The new appointments include:

  • Phillaur: Sukhdeep Upra

  • Jagraon: Kulvinder Singh

  • Bhulath: Rashpal Sharma

  • Mehatpur: Jasvir Jalalpur

  • Ajnala: Rajwinder Singh

  • Dera Baba Nanak: Resham Singh

  • Dinanagar: Jasbir Singh

  • Majitha: Balveer Singh Bhoparai

  • Quadian: Mukhdev Singh

  • Khamano: Kabiker Singh

  • Sadiq: Neetu Kapoor Singla

  • Nihal Singhwala: Amritpal Singh Khalsa

  • Bhadson: Nirbhai Singh Gunder

  • Bhawanigarh: Pradeep Kumar Mittal

  • Abohar: Rajinder Kamboj Dabbu

  • Barnala: Jaswinder Singh Sanghera

  • Panje Ke Uttar Market Committee: Jaswant Singh Sodhi
