The Punjab Government has ordered a major administrative reshuffle in the police department, transferring two IPS and three PPS officers with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Punjab, the posting of senior IPS officer Harmanbir Singh has been changed. He has been transferred from DIG PAP, Jalandhar and appointed as DIG Border Range, Amritsar, replacing Vivek Sheel Soni.

The order further states that Vivek Sheel Soni has been directed to report to the office of the Director General of Police, Punjab, and his next posting will be issued separately.

Among PPS officers, Kanwal Preet Singh, currently serving as ADCP Industrial Security, Ludhiana, has been posted as SP Hars, Amritsar Rural. He will also hold additional charge of SSP Amritsar Rural until further orders.

Tejbir Singh has been shifted from SP Hars, Amritsar Rural to Assistant Commandant, 80 Battalion PAP, Jalandhar Cantt.

Similarly, Gurbans Singh Bains has been transferred from SP Detective, Patiala to SP PBI, Faridkot, and will also handle additional charge of SSP Faridkot until further instructions.

The Home Department has directed all officers to join their new postings immediately. The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority.
