Punjab Police has issued a cyber safety advisory for e-rickshaw drivers, urging them to remain vigilant against unauthorized access to their vehicle management apps.
Advisory recommends that drivers use only the official mobile application provided by their e-rickshaw or battery manufacturer and protect it with a strong, unique password. Police also warned against allowing unknown devices or third-party applications to connect to the e-rickshaw's system, as this could expose the vehicle to security risks.
Emphasizing the importance of digital safety alongside road safety, Punjab Police advised e-rickshaw operators to follow secure app practices to protect their vehicles and personal information from potential cyber threats.
