Punjab continues to experience dry weather, with no rainfall expected today and no weather alert issued by the Meteorological Department. Dry conditions are likely to prevail across the state for the next four days. However, rainfall may bring some relief after Diwali as a fresh western disturbance is expected to become active.

Khanna recorded the highest AQI at 256, followed by Jalandhar at 181, Mandi Gobindgarh at 151, Ludhiana at 150 and Amritsar at 123. Rupnagar recorded the lowest AQI among these cities at 58.

According to the Meteorological Centre, the weather will remain dry across Punjab until Diwali. The department has forecast the possibility of rainfall in some parts of the state from November 10, although no alert has been issued so far.

The expected rainfall could provide some relief from rising pollution levels and help stabilise temperatures. Meanwhile, air quality continues to deteriorate in several cities across the state.
