Punjab Newsline, New Delhi, August 7-

In a fervent plea to the Union Govt, the MP from Punjab, Raghav Chadha, has urged the government, to hold talks with the Pakistan Govt to establish a safe corridor to Sri Nankana Sahib, similar to the Sri Kartarpur Corridor in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

Urging the central government to establish a safe corridor to Sri Nankana Sahib in the Raghav Chadha said, “This matter is related to the faith of crores of Punjabis. I am very fortunate that I got the opportunity to represent the state of Punjab in this House. Punjab is a state whose land is sacred by the grace of Guru Sahiban. When the country was divided in 1947, not only the country was divided into two parts, but our Punjab was also divided into two parts, one Punjab remained in Pakistan and the other joined India.”

Recounting the sacrifices that Punjabis had to make, the Raghav stated, “When the country was partitioned, the blood of lakhs of Punjabi families was shed, including my family. Many of our friends and relatives were separated from us but more importantly, our Gurudwara Sahibs were separated from us.”
