Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has finally addressed the long-running speculation surrounding his alleged involvement in Dhoom 4, confirming that he is not part of the upcoming installment of the popular Yash Raj Films franchise.
The actor, who is currently promoting his much-awaited film Ramayana, attended San Diego Comic-Con alongside producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari, and actor Yash. During an interaction with Review Nation, Ranbir was introduced as the star of Dhoom 4 while Yash was mentioned in connection with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
Ranbir immediately dismissed the claim, clarifying, "No, I am currently working only on Ramayana and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War. The film is scheduled to release on January 21, 2027."
Rumours linking Ranbir Kapoor to Dhoom 4 have been circulating since 2024, when reports claimed that he had agreed to headline the next chapter of the blockbuster action franchise after extensive discussions with producer Aditya Chopra. The speculation intensified after celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim shared the actor's new look on social media, with many fans assuming it was for Dhoom 4.
In 2025, reports also suggested that Vicky Kaushal could be associated with the film, although those claims were never officially confirmed.
With Ranbir's latest statement, the actor has effectively put an end to the Dhoom 4 speculation, making it clear that his current focus remains on Ramayana and Love & War.
