Medical college being established in Rasulpur, Tohana, has been named after Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj

Minister of Development and Panchayats, Devender Singh Babli, extending greetings on the occasion of the birth anniverary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji, said that whatever religious scriptures and books we read, Sant Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj has described about them through his teachings and compositions. He said Sant Guru Ravidas Ji taught the values of a caring society and ideals of humanism, equality and justice, which continues to guide mankind towards securing a just and an equitable society. it becomes our responsibility to serve humanity with a true heart by following the path shown by Guru Ravidas Ji, said Minister.

He was addressing as the chief guest at the event organized on the 647th birth anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji in the Tohana assembly constituency.

He said that Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj had said that no person is big or small by caste but is recognized by his deeds. Guru Ravidas Ji struggled against social evils throughout his life and gave a message of harmony. Through his teachings, he conveyed a message to eradicate atrocities, corruption, and other evils of that time without fear.

He said that Sant Ravidas opposed untouchability and caste discrimination strongly. His belief was that a person is not big or small by birth, but becomes so by his actions. He was a guide for the entire humanity. He said that from time to time, in our country, great saints, sages, and great gurus have shown the forgotten humanity the true path of life. In the 14th century, Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas also emerged as one of such great personalities who showed the entire humanity the path of welfare.

He said that the government of the country and the state are following the footsteps of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji. The state government is working on various schemes with the objective of creating awareness among the people by promoting the message given by Guru Ravidas Ji. The medical college being established in Rasulpur, Tohana, has been named after Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.
