Electricity consumers in several sectors of Mohali may face inconvenience on Wednesday due to a scheduled power shutdown for essential maintenance work.
According to Powercom officials, electricity supply will remain suspended from 9 am to 5 pm in Sectors 105, 106, 108 and 109, as well as the CPM Sector-105 area and areas served by the AP feeder at Sawara.
Officials said power supply could be restored earlier if the repair work is completed ahead of schedule. Consumers have been advised to complete essential tasks, including charging mobile phones and inverters and filling water tanks, before 9 am.
Hospitals, schools and other essential service providers have also been alerted about the scheduled shutdown.
Powercom officials said electricity supply would be restored promptly after the maintenance work is completed. Consumers can contact the department's toll-free helpline or the concerned sub-division office for assistance in case of any inconvenience.
