Veteran playback singer Sonu Nigam has revealed that he is dealing with a neck nerve compression issue, sharing an emotional health update with fans through social media. Despite the condition, the singer said he was preparing to perform while wearing supportive neck tapes and relying on painkillers.
In a video posted on his official Instagram account, Sonu Nigam said that he has been suffering from the problem for about a week and has already undergone MRI and CT scans. He added that he has been receiving medication and physiotherapy, describing the recovery process as physically exhausting.
The singer also shared that he was returning to the stage after a break of nearly one month and 10–12 days. He admitted feeling less confident than usual, explaining that the medicines prescribed to relax his nerves had also affected his voice, making his throat feel heavier.
However, he expressed hope that he would find the strength to perform.
Following the post, several members of the music industry extended their support and wished him a speedy recovery, including Kavita Seth, Roop Kumar Rathod, and Alisha Chinai.
