State and Central Govts have ushered in a New Era of Social Welfare with the Spirit of Antyodaya - FM

Haryana Finance Minister JP Dalal, said that the government has initiated a new era of social welfare in the state with new schemes aimed at bringing prosperity to the lives of the poor. He said this during his address in Bhiwani today. The government is committed to the welfare and upliftment of Antyodaya families. As part of this effort, 424 possession certificates have been distributed in the Bhiwani district under the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana.
He mentioned that resolution camps will be set up daily in the offices of the DC, ADC, SP, and SDM to address public grievances. In these camps, issues related to property ID, Parivar Pehchan Patra, ration cards, and various social security pensions will be resolved on the spot.Officers from all relevant departments have been directed to be present at these camps.
Addressing the district-level possession certificate distribution ceremony as the Chief Guest, organized by the Rural Development Department for the beneficiaries of the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana, he said that the Haryana government is committed to the welfare and upliftment of Antyodaya families. Numerous schemes have been implemented over the last ten years to integrate Antyodaya families into the mainstream of society. He stated that the government is dedicated to the welfare of the poor, and therefore, the first right on the government's treasury belongs to the poor families. The government aims to eliminate the disparity between the rich and the poor and ensure that the most deprived sections of society benefit from the welfare schemes formulated by the government.
FM said that in the financial year 2024-25 budget, under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana, it has been announced that beneficiaries who have not yet received possession of their plots will be given possession, otherwise, the government will provide financial assistance of one lakh rupees to such deprived beneficiaries at the time of purchasing a plot. Additionally, Antyodaya families are being given grant amounts to build houses under the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, both rural and urban. He mentioned that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than 14,000 houses have been built in the state so far, with an additional 15,356 houses under construction. The state government has spent Rs. 552 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Approval has been granted for the construction of 30,440 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin.
The Finance Minister highlighted that the central government has launched several welfare schemes for the poor, including the PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, and among others. Under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, 56 schemes from 18 departments have been selected.
