Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that land has been secured for the State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education building in Jhajjar and the building design has already been approved in August 2023. It will be constructed by the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department. For this, an amount of Rs 15 crore has been released by the government.

The Chief Minister was replying to a question during the Question Hour on the second day of the budget session of the Haryana Assembly here today.

Providing further details, Sh Manohar Lal informed that the State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education, previously under the School Education Department, has now been transferred to the Higher Education Department.

He said that earlier there was a demand to shift this institute to Gurugram, but the government has decided that the institute of Jhajjar will not be shifted, but a separate institute will be established in Gurugram. Apart from this, a similar institute has also been set up in Kurukshetra by the government.
