Development and Panchayat Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects in many villages of Tohana assembly constituency.

Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Devendra Babli asked the representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions to complete the development work as soon as possible with the allocated Rs 1100 crore, so that the upcoming development funds can be allotted to them. He said that the state government had allocated Rs 800 crore to Gram Panchayats, Rs 165 crore to Block Committees and Rs 110 crore to District Councils, it is necessary to spend these allocated amounts. Without spending this amount the next installment will not be released. After their expenditure, the state government will release an amount of Rs 3,000 crore to the Panchayati Raj institutions.
Babli on Wednesday visited Tohana villages Bidhai Kheda, Dangra, Maduwala, Ratakheda, Laloda, Lohakheda, Kanhadi, Bhimewala, Gajuwala, Hansewala, Chiten, Parata, Saniana, Pirthala, Phradhi, Phradha, Fatehpuri, Chandadakalan, Chandakhurd, Indachhui, Mangheda and He was addressing public representatives and villagers after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 9 crore 21 lakh in Rasoolpur.
Babli said that the state government, keeping its commitment towards rural development, has allocated a budget of Rs 7202 crore for development. Rs 1100 crore was released to Panchayati Raj institutions for the last quarter in the financial year 2022-23. Now an amount of Rs 3145 crore will be released in 2023-24. He said that work is being done to build one thousand new parks and gymnasiums in the gram panchayats of the state. Apart from this, work is going on to open e-libraries in one thousand gram panchayats. He said that street lights are being installed in 750 gram panchayats and 780 women's culture centers and 468 gymnasiums with high facilities are being established. To provide a comprehensive solution for solid waste management, proper collection of fecal sludge is being done in 1500 gram panchayats in the first phase. There is no STP within 20 kilometers of the state government block headquarters. A sewage sludge treatment plant will also be established there.
The Cabinet Minister said that roads less than four kilometers wide in fields and barns are being paved through district councils. The Zilla Parishad has also been entrusted with the work of repairing the roads of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board. Apart from this, under the cleanliness campaign, works like collecting garbage from every village and disposing it, street lighting, mid-day mill, bus queue shelter have also been given. The Cabinet Minister asked the public representatives to understand their responsibilities towards the public and get the village development work done transparently. He said that the government has strengthened the hands of Sarpanches through e-tendering, this has brought transparency in development works and the works are being completed quickly. Officials from various departments and public representatives were present on this occasion.
