A major accident occurred on Friday in Kangra when a tractor-trolley carrying 35 pilgrims from Punjab fell into a nearly 100-foot-deep gorge near the Radha Soami Satsang Ghar in Dhaliara.

Officials said the accident took place around 12:15 PM on National Highway-503 after the vehicle reportedly lost control at a sharp turn and plunged off the road.

Three devotees lost their lives in the tragic incident, while 32 others, including women and children, were injured. Six seriously injured victims were referred to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, while seven are undergoing treatment at Dehra Hospital.

Police and rescue teams immediately reached the spot and launched relief operations. According to Mayank Chaudhary, several passengers are still receiving medical care and an investigation is underway.

Preliminary reports suggest that brake failure may have caused the accident. The pilgrims, originally from Kapurthala, Punjab, were returning after visiting the Chintpurni Temple and were en route to Jwala Ji Temple when the tragedy struck.
