Couple marks 25 years together, highlighting mutual encouragement and support
Bollywood’s much-loved couple Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna completed 25 years of marriage on Saturday. On the special occasion, actress and author Twinkle Khanna opened up about what she considers the best part of their long-standing relationship, saying that they constantly motivate each other to grow, take risks and try new experiences.
Sharing a glimpse of the celebrations, Twinkle posted a video on social media showing the couple attempting paragliding together. The clip captured a light-hearted and supportive exchange between the two. Akshay is heard asking Twinkle, “Are you sure you want to jump?” to which she responds confidently by nodding her head. Moments later, Twinkle jokingly credits her husband for pushing her beyond her comfort zone, saying, “It’s all because of you, you make me do this.”
When it was Akshay Kumar’s turn to paraglide, Twinkle asked him if he was feeling nervous. Replying with his trademark humour, the actor said that he now felt additional pressure because his wife had already completed the jump. The video reflected the couple’s easy camaraderie and strong bond built over the years.

On the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary, Akshay Kumar also shared a fond memory involving his mother-in-law, veteran actress Dimple Kapadia. Recalling their wedding in 2001, Akshay revealed that Dimple had advised him to be prepared to laugh in the most unexpected and unusual situations after marrying Twinkle.
Reflecting on the advice after 25 years of marriage, Akshay wrote on his official Instagram handle that his mother-in-law’s words had turned out to be absolutely true. He added that Twinkle prefers to dance through life rather than walk straight, a quality that continues to bring joy and laughter into their relationship even after two and a half decades together.
