In the actress-model Twisha Sharma death case, accused husband Samarth Singh was produced before the Bhopal District Court on Saturday. The court granted a 7-day police remand for further investigation.
Acting on an application filed by Twisha’s family, the court also ordered the seizure of Samarth Singh’s passport.
Police had brought Samarth from Jabalpur to Bhopal around 2 am on Friday night and kept him at Katara Hills police station. Heavy police deployment and barricading were arranged outside the station. Before being presented in court, he underwent a medical examination at JP Hospital in Bhopal.
Meanwhile, CCTV footage showing Twisha Sharma’s last makeup session has also surfaced. In the footage, she can be seen getting ready at a beauty parlour located near her in-laws’ residence. She appeared normal and relaxed in the video. Police have seized the CCTV footage as part of the investigation. The parlour is reportedly around 100 meters away from her in-laws’ house.
Pictures of the section of the Katara Hills residence where Twisha’s body was found have also emerged during the probe. Investigators further revealed that Twisha had booked a reservation on the Bhopal-Jaipur Express at 9:52 am on May 12. She was scheduled to travel to Ajmer on May 15, where her brother, Major Harshit Sharma, is posted.
Twisha Sharma, 31, died under suspicious circumstances at her in-laws’ home in Baghmugalia Extension, Katara Hills, Bhopal, on May 12. She was the daughter-in-law of retired judge Giribala, while her husband Samarth Singh is a lawyer.
