Two youths lost their lives in a tragic road accident near Mehmuana village in Punjab’s Faridkot district on Wednesday morning. The collision was so severe that both motorcycle riders died on the spot, leaving the entire village in mourning.
According to police, the accident took place around 4 am when the victims, identified as 19-year-old Gurpreet Singh and Jashanpreet Singh, were heading to Faridkot for work. Both youths were residents of Mehmuana village and reportedly worked as labourers.
Family members said the two had left home earlier than usual that morning. As they reached the village’s main road, a speeding Hyundai i20 car coming from the opposite direction allegedly hit their motorcycle with tremendous force.
