Kejriwal and Mann must respond to the incident with Swati Maliwal in Delhi CM House: Subhash Sharma
1.3 crore women voters of Punjab have yet not received Rs. 1000: Dr. Subhash Sharma
Sharma did door-to-door campaign in Mohali, held meeting with lawyers in Kharar
Punjb Newsline, Mohali/Kharar, May 15-
Giving impetus to his election campaign, BJP candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency Subhash Sharma today campaigned in Mohali and Kharar. While addressing a public meeting organized by lawyers in Kharar, Sharma launched a political attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and said that whether it is Punjab or Delhi, AAP leaders do not know how to respect women and neither they have fulfilled promises made to the women. “One example of this is the incident of misbehavior with Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal in the Delhi CM House and another example is the women of Punjab, who are yet to get Rs 1000 per month, a promise that was vociferously propagated by the whole Aam Aadmi Party during the 2022 assembly elections in Punjab but unfortunately till date, not even a single woman from Punjab has received this amount”, rued Sharma.
Sharma said that Swati Maliwal went to the Chief Minister's residence on May 13, where CM Kejriwal’s private secretary Vibhav misbehaved with her in the drawing room. He further said, “This is a very shameful incident and it forces the public to think that if the MPs of their own party are not safe in the house of the CM of the party, then how come the women of Delhi and Punjab should consider themselves safe under the rule of Aam Aadmi Party.”
Sharma said that the Mann had made an pre-poll promise that Rs 1000 per month would be given to women above 18 years of age but till date this promise has not been fulfilled. He said that it is very shameful that the AAP government grabbed the power in Punjab by making false and alluring promises.
“There is great resentment among the women of Punjab because of the failure of AAP government to fulfill the promises made by them. Reality is that the economy of Punjab is crumbling and the Mann government does not have money to fulfill the promises made by AAP before the assembly elections. According to the voter list data, there are about 1.3 crore women voters in Punjab. If all 1.3 crore women are given Rs 1000 per month, government would require Rs 15,600 crore annually, whereas the reality is that the state treasury is empty and the debt-ridden AAP government is taking loan after loan to meet the expenses”, said Dr. Sharma, while adding that this makes it amply clear that Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal have no intention of fulfilling their election promises.
Meanwhile, Sharma met the lawyers in Kharar Court premises and during the meeting the lawyers put forward their demands before him. These demands included strengthening the Bar Association and better Bar room and chambers in the court. Dr. Sharma listened to demands of the lawyers with utmost attention and assured them of fulfilling them soon after winning from Sri Anandpur constituency.
Will bring rail coach factory in Sri Anandpur Sahib
Sri Anandpur Sahib: During the election campaignSharma said that on the lines of Gurugram and Bengaluru, there is need to make Mohali as an IT hub, for which he is continuously making efforts and after the elections, he will talk to the IT Minister of Modi government about this and will bring a big project here. He added that there has also been talk with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav about setting up a rail coach factory in Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency. Sharma said that if both these things are through, then the day is not far when Mohali will become the largest provider of jobs to the youth in the entire Punjab. “It is my promise that I will provide the eco-system and infrastructure required to make Mohali an IT hub”, he assured.
