Just days after celebrating Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL title victory, cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife, actor Anushka Sharma, visited Vrindavan on Tuesday to seek blessings from spiritual leader Sant Premanand Maharaj.

The couple arrived at Kelley Kunj Ashram around 7 a.m. Wearing face masks, they stepped out of their car and walked barefoot into the ashram. Disciples of Sant Premanand welcomed them upon arrival.

Virat and Anushka spent nearly two hours at the ashram. When they emerged, Kohli was seen with sandalwood paste and a sacred tilak on his forehead and carrying a book in his hand.

After meeting Sant Premanand Maharaj, the couple walked about 150 metres to the nearby ashram of revered spiritual leader Hit Govind Sharan Maharaj, where they also sought blessings.

This was not their first visit to Sant Premanand Maharaj this year. On April 20, coinciding with Akshaya Tritiya, the couple had visited the saint’s ashram and attended a spiritual discourse.

The visit comes shortly after Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s recent IPL success. Kohli played a key role in the team’s title-winning campaign and was one of the standout performers in the tournament.
