Sidhu Foundation to Conduct Waste Treatment Spray Across the Constituency; Kitchen Waste to Turn into Compost within Days: Former Health Minister

Trial Spray Conducted at RMC Dumping Point in Mataur: Balbir Sidhu

 Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, March 13-

Former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu’s Sidhu Foundation has launched a unique initiative to convert waste into compost. As part of this effort, a special type of spray experiment was conducted today at the RMC Point in Sector 71, Mohali to transform garbage into compost. Experts were also present during the trial to oversee the process.

Speaking on the occasion, Balbir Singh Sidhu stated that this trial spray has been applied to waste at the site to test its effectiveness. He emphasized that the biggest advantage of this method is that it does not kill flies or mosquitoes but prevents them from gathering around the waste. Within a few days, the waste naturally decomposes into compost. He further mentioned that another round of spraying would be done in the coming days, and based on the success of this trial, the same technique would be applied across all waste collection points in Mohali.
