Winter is beginning to make its presence felt in the tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district, with fresh snowfall transforming the high mountain peaks of Pangi and Bharmour. Around three inches of snow has reportedly accumulated on the higher reaches, while snowfall has also begun in Pangi’s Sural Valley.
Adding to the region’s growing attraction, reports of two snow leopards being spotted in the area have also drawn attention.
The fresh snowfall has changed the landscape of Chamba’s high-altitude areas, covering the mountain peaks in a blanket of white. The scenic views have enhanced the natural beauty of the region, but the changing weather has also brought a noticeable increase in cold conditions.
In tribal areas such as Pangi and Bharmour, the drop in temperatures is beginning to affect daily life. With snowfall starting in Sural Valley, residents are anticipating a further intensification of the cold in the coming days.
As temperatures continue to fall in the higher reaches, people have been advised to take extra precautions against the cold. The changing weather marks the beginning of another winter season in the remote mountainous areas of Chamba district.
