Undertakes whirlwind tour of Kharar, Banur & Zirakpur tehsils to get the work of registration started
Punjab Newsline, SAS Nagar, March 4-
Taking a tough and unprecedented stance against the agitating Tehsildars, the Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday said that the state government will not bow before corrupt officers, who are facing Police action for their sins.
The Chief Minister, who undertook a whirlwind tour to get the work of registration started at Kharar, Banur and Zirakpur tehsils, said that the Revenue Officers had gone on mass leave in wake of Vigilance action against their corrupt officers. He said that the AAP government has zero tolerance against corruption but ironically by going on mass leave these officers are seeking license for corruption. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this blackmailing will not be tolerated and severe action will be taken against these corrupt and haughty officers.
The Chief Minister said that their pressure tactics will not be tolerated at any cost and exemplary action will be taken against them. He said the state government will recruit new Tehsildars and Revenue officers in the coming days, the agenda for which will be brought in the Cabinet.
