The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Yamunanagar district police in Haryana has made a significant breakthrough in its crackdown on drug trafficking by arresting a suspect with 126 grams of heroin valued at around ₹6 lakh.
Acting on a secret tip-off, the police received information that a young man was allegedly involved in selling narcotics from an empty plot near Gadi Road in Hamida. Following the input, a special team was formed under the supervision of Incharge Anil Kumar, including Sub-Inspector Satish Kumar, Naveen, ASI Jasvir Singh, Jaipal, Amit, and Lalit.
To ensure transparency during the search operation, Naib Tehsildar Sadhoura Kuldeep Singh was called to the spot as the duty magistrate. During the search, the team recovered 126 grams of heroin from the possession of the accused.
The arrested individual has been identified as Sameer, son of Gulzar, a resident of Purana Hamida. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act, and he has been produced before the court. The court has granted police remand for further investigation.
