Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister JP Dalal said that the state government has plans to expand the metro in Sonipat, as soon as the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) brings the metro to Narela, then from Narela to Kundli. Haryana government is ready to extend its support for expansion.
The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister was replying to a question asked by MLA Surendra Panwar during the winter session of Haryana Assembly here today. Dalal said that the Haryana government wants that the metro should be extended till Sonipat. But currently DPR is being prepared by DMRC for metro extension till Narela. Haryana government will cooperate from Narela to Kundli.
He said that RRTS corridor will be built from Delhi to Panipat, which will pass through Sonipat district. Its stations are proposed at Kundli, RGES, Murthal, Badhi and Ganaur.
