The govt recognizes the immense potential present in the youth – Governor 

The government is prioritizing the creation of ample employment opportunities

Chandigarh, February 20 - Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya said that based on transparency and merit, the state government has provided jobs to 42,735 youths over the past four years. In addition, the process to fill over 60,000 Group-C and D positions is underway. To make the recruitment process fair and transparent, interviews for Group-C and D recruitments have been abolished. The Common Eligibility Test has been introduced to free the youth from repeated competitive exams.
He mentioned that the state government has abolished the practice of hiring employees through private contractors. More than 1,08,000 contractual employee who were previously employed have been transitioned to the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, and an additional 13,133 new employees have been hired on contracts. The Nigam is now looking for placement opportunities for young people in the private sector as well as abroad.
He informed that the government has organized more than 4,080 job fairs so far, providing employment assistance to over 1,17,500 youths in the private sector. Haryana government is committed to implementing New Education Policy-2020 by 2030. The state already has a robust foundation of educational institutions to fully implement the policy. Currently, there are 182 government colleges in the state. In order to provide equal opportunity to the children of poor families to study in recognized private schools, eligible students from families with an annual income of Rs 1.80 lakh are admitted to private schools from class 2 to 12 under Chirag scheme. Free books, uniforms and stationery are provided by the government to the students of poor families up to class 12.
Dattatraya mentioned that under the PM Shri School Scheme, 124 Schools have been opened. To boost the merit of education at primary level, 1420 Government Model Sanskriti Primary Schools have been opened. Under the e-Adhigam scheme, the government has provided 5.50 lakh tablets with 2 GB data to students of government schools in the 10th and 12th grades and their teachers.
He stated that under the PM-Usha Scheme, projects worth Rs 20 crores each have been approved to strengthen Maharishi Dayanand University and Bhagat Phool Singh University Sonipat. With the aim of engaging and empowering youth in economic and holistic development, the Haryana Skill Development Mission has imparted skill training to 31,374 young people
Governor revealed that under the Super-100 programme, coaching for entrance exams like IIT, JEE, and NEET is being provided in Rewari, Panchkula, Karnal, and Hisar to meritorious students of government schools. So far, 379 students have cleared the entrance exams for JEE Advanced, NEET, and IIT Advanced. Following the footsteps of the Super-100 program for students of government schools, the Super-NDA program has also been initiated, wherein 100 students are prepared annually for the NDA and SSB exams every year
