223 Candidates are contesting for Lok Sabha Elections in Haryana

Polling to take place on May 25th in the state

Chandigarh– Haryana Chief Electoral officer, Anurag Agarwal, stated that after the process of withdrawal of nomination papers, a total of 223 candidates are now contesting for the  Lok Sabha-2024 elections in the state, including 207 male and 16 female candidates. Additionally, there will be a by-election for the Karnal Assembly seat, for which a total of 9 candidates are now in the electoral arena.

Giving more information in this regard, Sh. Agarwal mentioned that there are a total of 14 candidates in the Ambala Lok Sabha constituency, including 12 male and 2 female candidates. Similarly, in the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency, there are a total of 31 candidates, comprising 30 male and 1 female candidates. In the Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency, there are 19 candidates (18 male and 1 female candidate), in the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency, there are 28 candidates (25 male and 3 female), in the Karnal Lok Sabha constituency, there are a total of 19 candidates (17 male and 2 female), and in the Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency, there are 22 candidates (male).

He further stated that in the Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency, there are a total of 26 candidates (24 male and 2 female), in the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituency, there are 17 candidates (15 male and 2 female), in the Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency, there are 23 candidates (22 male and 1 female), and in the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency, there are a total of 24 candidates (22 male and 2 female). Additionally, there are 9 candidates (male) for the Karnal Assembly seat.

Sh. Agarwal stated that polling for the Lok Sabha seats in Haryana and the Karnal Assembly by-election will take place on May 25th. He appealed to all voters in the state to cast their votes on that day and exercise their voting rights. Every vote counts in a democracy, so ensure your participation in democracy by casting your vote as much as possible.
