High Court's Verdict on Shambhu Border a Victory for Farmers, Says AAP
Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, July 10-
The AAP has welcomed the High Court's decision to open Punjab-Haryana border 'Shambhu Border' (where farmers have been sitting on dharna for the last several months). The party said that all the demands of the farmers are justified, so the central government should consider fulfilling their demands instead of stopping them at the border.
On Wednesday, senior leader and spokesperson of AAP Punjab, Neel Garg said that before becoming the Prime Minister in 2013, Narendra Modi himself had said that he will waive the entire debt of the farmers and make a law on MSP as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission. But Prime Minister Modi went back on his promise, so the farmers are forced to go to Delhi.
Garg said that PM has betrayed the farmers of the country. He did not fulfill a single promise related to the farmers, on the contrary, he tried to impose anti-farmers agricultural laws on them to hand over the land and crops to his corporate friends, due to which more than 750 farmers died.
