The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau team (ACB) has arrested Junior Engineer Joginder, working in the Bijli Nigam, Sonipat, while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000. The accused had demanded a bribe from the complainant in exchange for closing the case by making a nominal amount of the damaged electric pole.
Sharing information in this regard spokesperson of the bureau said that the ACB team received a complaint that JE Joginder, working in the Bijli Nigam of Model Town, District Sonipat, was demanding a bribe from the complainant in exchange for closing the case by making a nominal amount of the damaged electricity pole.
The bureau investigated the matter and arrested the accused while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000. A case has been registered against the accused at the police station of Anti-Corruption Bureau Rohtak and he has been arrested. The case is being investigated by gathering all the relevant evidence.
