Haryana Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of CM Nayab Singh here today, accorded approval to amend the ‘Compassionate Appointment (for the Family Member of Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Force Battle Causality) Policy, 2023 with a more impactful name title ‘Veer Shaheed Samman Yojana’.
This change in name in the existing policy will enhance its visibility and make it more memorable and accessible to the public. It will also facilitate better communication and understanding of the policy’s objectives, making it easier for the families of martyrs to navigate the benefits available to them. By aligning the policy name with its noble objectives, the government reaffirms its commitment to honouring the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces personnel.
It may be mentioned here that the government on August 14, 2023, notified the ‘Compassionate Appointment (for the Family Member of Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Force Battle Causality) Policy 2023’ to provide assistance to the families of Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces personnel who were domiciled in Haryana and lost their lives in battle.
