“Work with honesty” — Minister appeals to newly promoted employees

Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is taking essential steps for the welfare of the people of the state and is equally committed to safeguarding employee rights and their career growth.
Under this, 24 Grade-4 employees of the Social Security, Women and Child Development Department have been promoted to the post of clerk. Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur today handed over the promotion orders to these newly promoted employees at Punjab Bhawan.
Among those promoted are 4 specially-abled employees, who have been elevated to the post of clerk based on equal opportunity and fair promotion criteria. The minister said that the Punjab government is fully dedicated to providing equal rights, respect, and promotion opportunities to employees of all categories, and this decision is a clear example of that firm commitment.
Dr. Baljit Kaur congratulated the newly appointed clerks and said that the department works for the welfare of the elderly, women, children, and the underprivileged. Therefore, it is very important to fulfill the new responsibilities with dedication and honesty.
During the meeting, the minister instructed department officials to provide proper and initial training to the promoted employees so they can perform their duties more effectively and professionally.
