BJP is trying to humiliate the farmers of Punjab by honoring their tormentors - AAP spokesperson Neel Garg
Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, July 18-
The Aam Aadmi Party has criticized the BJP government of Haryana and said that the Haryana government is going to honor those police officers who opened fire on the farmers of Punjab agitating on the Haryana Punjab border.
AAP spokesperson Punjab, Neel Garg said that this decision of the Haryana government is highly condemnable and unfortunate. He said that the BJP always honors the people who hurt the farmers. By doing this, it is trying to humiliate the farmers of the country, especially Punjab.
Citing the example of former BJP Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, Neel Garg said that Teni's son hit and killed farmers with his vehicles in Lakhimpur-Kheri but Prime Minister Modi neither removed Teni from the cabinet nor took any action against his son.
He said that before becoming the Prime Minister in 2013, Narendra Modi himself had said that we will waive off the entire debt of the farmers and make a law on MSP as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, but later Modi went back on his promise and betrayed the farmers of the country.
