Farmers' dues of over Rs 133.55 crore from previous Abiana also waived off
Pending Rs 137 Crore compensation for crop damage to be transferred to farmers' bank accounts within a week

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini today announced a significant relief for farmers by waiving off the outstanding amount of Rs 133,55,48,000 from the previous Abiana. At the same time, Abiana has been discontinued for the future. This decision will provide approximately Rs 54 crore in relief to farmers annually. In addition, the CM declared that all crops in the state will be procured at the minimum support price (MSP). Currently, the state government procures 14 crops at MSP, and now all other crops in Haryana will also be procured at the MSP.

The CM also announced that the pending amount of Rs 137 crore for compensation for crop damage caused by disasters before 2023 in the districts of Rohtak, Nuh, Fatehabad, and Sirsa will be disbursed to concerned farmers by Deputy Commissioners within a week. Furthermore, the CM stated that farmers will now be permitted to purchase a three-star motor from any company in the country for new tubewell connections. Presently, only 10 companies with three-star motors are empanled in the state,.
