All-Party Meeting Held to Plan Grand Celebrations of the 350th Shahidi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji

An all-party meeting was held today to plan a grand celebration marking the 350th Shahidi Diwas of the ninth Sikh Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij, BJP State President Mohan Lal Kaushik, Congress State President Rao Narendra Singh, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Krishna Jamalpur, INLD representative  Gurvinder Dhamija, JJP State President Braj Sharma, Aam Aadmi Party State President Sushil Gupta, and other prominent leaders.

All leaders paid heartfelt tributes to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, recalling his supreme sacrifice for the protection of faith, human rights, and religious freedom. During the deliberations, it was suggested that various cultural and religious programs be incorporated into the celebrations and that all events be conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.

A unanimous resolution was passed at the meeting, pledging that the 350th Shahidi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji would be celebrated with full dignity and that all parties would extend their wholehearted support to the events.

It was informed that, as part of the celebrations, four major yatras would be organized across the state. The first yatra will commence on November 8 from Rori in Sirsa. Leaders unanimously suggested that these yatras should pass through every place sanctified by the visits of the Guru Sahiban, and that the participation of all prominent citizens of the region should be encouraged.

An important proposal adopted at the meeting was that 350 girls would perform Guru Kirtan at the main commemorative event, symbolizing the 350 years of Guru Sahib’s supreme sacrifice.

OSD Dr. Prabhleen Singh provided detailed information about the proposed programs and informed that various committees have been constituted to ensure the successful organization of the celebrations.

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji shares a deep and sacred connection with the land of Haryana. During his travels, he sanctified this soil with his presence and spread the eternal message of truth, tolerance, and fearlessness. The sacred Gurdwaras located across the state stand as enduring reminders of his teachings and blessings.

All parties unanimously resolved to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Year of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji with reverence and dignity, remembering his unparalleled sacrifice for humanity.
