Awards to be given in three categories of excellence in public administration

The Government of India has set the last date for registration and submission of applications for the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration is November 15, 2025. Those fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions and criteria can submit their applications until November 15th, 2025.
Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson said that the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India, had launched this award scheme in 2006 to acknowledge, recognize and reward the extraordinary and innovative work done by districts/organizations of the Central and State Governments.
The awards will be conferred under three categories —Category I- Holistic Development of Districts, Category II- Aspirational Blocks Programme, Category III- Innovations. The awards focus not merely on achievement of targets but emphasize good governance, qualitative outcomes, and last-mile connectivity. Keeping this in view, the applications will be evaluated on three key parameters — governance, qualitative performance, and quantitative results.
