Vice Chairperson of Haryana State Council for Child Welfare Distributes Sports Equipment to 111 Villages of Ladwa Constituency

Vice Chairperson of the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare, Suman Saini, said that athletes of national and international stature are being groomed in Haryana. The state is full of talented sportspersons. To further nurture this talent, the state government is providing various sports facilities, and as a result, athletes from Haryana are winning medals in every international event. Haryana has earned recognition across the globe for its excellence in sports.
Suman Saini was addressing a sports equipment distribution ceremony organized by the Sports Department in Kurukshetra on Monday. Before the ceremony, she distributed sports equipment to villages like Beent, Beed Pipli, Dhanoura Jatan, and Bodla Gram Panchayat. Sports kits for 11 different sports, worth ₹45 lakh in total, were distributed to the sarpanches and representatives of 111 villages.
Congratulating the sarpanches and representatives of these 111 villages of Ladwa constituency, she said CM Nayab Singh Saini is continuously working for the development of the Ladwa region. His vision is to keep the youth of Ladwa away from social evils like drugs and engage them in sports.
She also mentioned that Chief Minister Saini recently inaugurated a sports stadium at Dhanoura Jatan built at a cost of ₹2.73 crore. This stadium will provide top-level sports facilities to athletes. The government aims to strengthen sports infrastructure at the village level so that rural sports talent can come forward. She said the government has made remarkable contributions to the field of sports while working towards building a healthy and strong Haryana. The government believes that sports should be treated as an essential part of life, not just as a means of entertainment. Sports instill a sense of discipline in a person’s life.
Suman Saini said wrestlers, kabaddi players, hockey players, and other athletes from Haryana have made a mark internationally. The government believes that the state’s development depends on the health of its youth, and that health can be maintained through active participation in sports. Now, as per the demand of village panchayats in the Ladwa constituency, the Chief Minister has provided sports equipment for 11 types of games. All the youth should make good use of this equipment, perform well in sports, and bring glory to the state, she added.
