The political battleground for municipal elections in Haryana is now fully set. On Wednesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto at the party’s state office ‘Panchkamal’ in Panchkula. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unveiled the vision document in the presence of senior party leaders, emphasizing urban development, good governance, and improved civic amenities as key priorities.
The event was attended by BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli, organizational secretary Phanindranath Sharma, and several prominent leaders and ministers. Among those present were Cabinet Ministers Krishan Lal Panwar and Ranbir Gangwa, Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma, Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, former Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, and Panchkula mayoral candidate Shyamlal Bansal.
Several Leaders Join BJP
In a significant political development, former minister Rajkumar Valmiki, Jai Singh Bishnoi from Hisar, Jagdish Mandoli from Gurugram, Surender Madiya from Rewari, Sarpanch Anil Yadav, Pawan Yadav, and Anil from Kaithal (son of a former minister), along with dozens of others, joined the BJP. Former Jhajjar vice-chairman Yogesh Silani was also inducted into the party.
All the new entrants were welcomed by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and state BJP president Mohanlal Badoli by presenting them with party stoles. More prominent faces are expected to join the BJP in the presence of the leadership in the coming days.
The BJP leadership also outlined its strategy and priorities for the municipal elections, highlighting a strong focus on urban infrastructure, sanitation systems, basic facilities, and citizen services. The event saw the participation of a large number of party leaders, office bearers, and workers.
Congress Has Already Released Manifesto
Meanwhile, the Congress party has already unveiled its manifesto. Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced it during a press conference in Chandigarh, outlining ten major promises for urban voters.
