 Punjab Newsline, Balachaur/Mohali, May 27-

In one of the most fierce attacks so far on the Congress, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, today said that it was an open secret that the Congress and the Gandhi family were against the Shri Ram Temple. During his whirlwind tour to Sri Anandpur Sahib Constituency to campaign for the party’s candidate Dr. Subhash Sharma, the Uttarakhand CM, said, “Congress has always used Shri Ram Temple as a weapon to appease a particular vote bank but Modi had promised that a grand temple would be built for Shri Ram Lalla, who has been living under a tent for many years. And like all other promises, Modi fulfilled his commitment to getting Shri Ram Temple constructed in Ayodhya. BJP had fought a long battle for 30 years and party workers had taken bullets on their chests and sacrificed their lives, only with one dream “that one day, Shri Ram Lalla will be out of the tent.”

Meanwhile, addressing various election gatherings in Balachaur and surrounding areas, Dhami, termed the AAP party as nothing but a party of “liars”. He appealed to the voters not to repeat the mistake of casting their vote to AAP, as they did during the 2022 Assembly Elections. “Bhagwant Mann-led government has betrayed everyone by not fulfilling the promises made by the AAP party before elections. All the women above 18 years of age have so far not been given a monthly allowance of Rs 1000. Besides, instead of making the state crime-free, there has been an extreme spurt in the incidents of heinous crimes like murder, extortion and kidnapping”, Dhami added.

Making a strong pitch for casting their vote to the BJP candidates, Dr. Sharma said that ‘it is writing on the wall that Modi is coming for the third consecutive time’ and even with a bigger mandate than last time, while adding, “Hence, then why to waste your vote on other party candidates.” He also told the gathering that in the past 20 days, he had visited as many as 150 villages and the response from the villagers for Modi has been tremendous.

Assuring the people of the Sri Anandpur Sahib Constituency, Dr. Sharma said that once elected all the nine assembly segments falling in this parliamentary constituency will not only witness immense development but at the same time, all their problems will be taken care of. He announced the setting up of a Central University in Ropar, which will serve as a research centre and revival of ancient musical instruments, artefacts and Punjabi literature.

Concluding today’s election campaign, Dhami and Dr. Sharma vowed the electorate to come in large numbers and exercise their right to franchise for the BJP, a party whose government has not just developed the country but made India a superpower in the world. During today’s, election meetings, the response of the masses was terrific, with people chanting the slogan, “Abki Baar 400 Paar”. Meanwhile, Dhami, along with Dr. Sharma also campaigned in Balachaur, Mohali, Nawanshahr and Nayagaon and received exceptional response from the people, who had come in large numbers.
