Other accused, including Paramraj Singh Umranangal, Sukhminder Singh Mann, Charanjit Singh Sharma and Amar Singh Chahal, were represented by their respective lawyers.
According to court records, proceedings against former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had already been abated following his death. The complainant, Ajit Singh, was represented by advocate Imaan Singh Khara.
After hearing arguments from both the defence and the prosecution, the court directed Punjab Police to submit a detailed report at the next hearing, clearly outlining the status of the investigations and identifying the cases in which probes have been completed and those that are still pending.
