Residents of Sector-30B in Chandigarh have been struggling with a severe drinking water crisis for nearly a month, as low water pressure continues to disrupt supply across the locality. The problem has particularly affected three-storey houses, where water is failing to reach the second and third floors.
According to local residents, the issue has persisted for the past 30 days without any permanent solution. As a result, many families have been forced to rely on Municipal Corporation water tankers to meet their daily needs.
The situation has become more challenging due to the summer season, with water pressure dropping significantly during morning and evening hours when household water consumption is at its peak. Residents say rooftop water tanks are not filling properly, making it difficult to manage routine activities such as cooking, cleaning, and bathing.
Several families have been arranging additional water supplies to cope with the shortage, while waiting for tanker deliveries has become a daily necessity. Residents have urged authorities to take immediate action and restore normal water supply in the area.
