Police personnel, including a Delhi Police sub-inspector, were injured during clashes with protesters near Parliament Street in New Delhi on Monday. According to the injured officer, protesters allegedly pelted stones at security personnel stationed near barricades, leading to the confrontation.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the CJP met Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and submitted a memorandum highlighting their demands. CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said that Abhijeet Dipke had neither been detained nor arrested. He also stated that a large crowd continued to gather outside Kerala House despite the unrest.
Reacting to the incident, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal criticized the government's handling of the protest. He said that lakhs of young people had assembled at Jantar Mantar seeking justice and alleged that the government responded with a police baton charge instead of engaging with them.
Kejriwal urged the government to listen to the protesters' concerns, saying they were "the country's own children" demanding justice and appealed for dialogue over confrontation.
